Notable Achievements

CGCDZ has drilled and solarized over 20 boreholes in Masvingo Province, Zimbabwe, benefiting four districts: Zaka, Chivi, Bikita, and Masvingo. This initiative now provides approximately 1,250 households with access to safe, clean water for domestic use and horticulture irrigation, significantly enhancing livelihoods, health, and community well-being.

CGCDZ has fenced 12 gardens in Masvingo and Bikita districts, empowering smallholder women farmers to improve their livelihoods. Through these horticulture projects, we've enhanced food security, dietary diversity, and household income, contributing to sustainable economic growth and community development.

In Masvingo and Bikita districts, CGCDZ initiated 6 quick-return income generating projects including diesel grinding mills and pop gun machines to economically empower women and youth, improving their quality of life.

CGCDZ empowered 23 women to establish a thriving fish farming project in Masvingo District, Ward 12, expanding from one to two ponds. Key achievements include average sales of $250 per harvest, with fish sold at $4.00/kg and fingerlings at $50/2 cups. This initiative has significantly improved the women's economic well-being by enhancing food security, generating income, and fostering entrepreneurship and community development.
